One bot for all your sites

Install PressHelm on every site, then work on all of them from one Telegram bot (or one Claude or ChatGPT connection). The bot asks which site you mean, names it on every answer and never works on another site by mistake. Business and Agency plans.

What you get#

  • One chat for every site. No new bot per site: every site you add can use the bot you already have.
  • Always the right site. The bot asks which site you want to work on, shows its name on every answer, and works only on that site until you switch. PressHelm itself refuses a change to any other site, whatever the AI tries.
  • A conversation per site. Each site keeps its own conversation, so switching back continues where you left off.
  • Everything arrives in one place. Approvals, uptime alerts, error alerts, scheduled tasks and files of every site come to the same bot, each with the site’s name.
  • Claude and ChatGPT too. A connection signed in from one of these sites covers all of them.
Your choice

Optional, always. Any site can keep a bot of its own; you choose site by site which ones share the bot.

Before you start#

  • Your PressHelm account is on the Business or Agency plan.
  • One of your sites is fully set up with its own bot, and your Telegram account is linked to it (see Create your Telegram bot). This bot becomes the shared one.
  • The PressHelm plugin is installed on every site you want to add (each site keeps its own plugin, rules, AI key and undo history).

Add a new site to the shared bot#

  1. Install the plugin and start the setup#

On the new site, install PressHelm and connect your AI in step 1 as usual.

  2. Choose the shared bot#

In the Telegram bot step, skip the token and click Use my account’s shared bot under “Already chat with PressHelm about another site?”.

  3. Connect to PressHelm Cloud#

Click Connect to PressHelm Cloud and sign in with the same account as your other sites. You come back to WordPress with Uses the shared bot of your PressHelm account (@yourbot) and your Telegram account already linked: nothing to approve, no new bot.

  4. Say hello in Telegram#

Open your bot and send a message. It asks which site you want to work on; the new site is in the list.

Move sites you already have#

  1. Open the Sites page#

In PressHelm Cloud (app.presshelmai.com), open Sites and scroll to One bot for all your sites.

  2. Pick the shared bot#

Under Shared bot, choose the bot you want to keep. Only bots linked to your Telegram account are listed.

  3. Tick the sites#

Tick every site that should use it, then click Save. The bot’s own site is always included.

Sites with a bot of their own keep it working for chats about that site, but their approvals, alerts and scheduled tasks now arrive in the shared bot. To move a site completely, choose Use my account’s shared bot in that site’s WordPress → PressHelm → Telegram → Use a different bot: its own bot is then switched off and its token deleted.

Claude and ChatGPT#

Add PressHelm as a connector as usual (see Use PressHelm from Claude or ChatGPT) and sign in from any site that shares the bot. Before you allow it, WordPress lists the other sites the connection will cover. The assistant then asks which site you mean before it works on one, and PressHelm refuses any change that does not say which site. Approvals still come to the WordPress admin of the site being changed.

Keep a site on its own bot#

  • Leave it unticked on the Sites page, and keep using its own bot as before.
  • To take a site off the shared bot, untick it and Save, or give it a bot of its own in its WordPress → PressHelm → Telegram → Use a different bot.
  • To stop sharing altogether, choose Off: each site uses its own bot on the Sites page.

Good to know#

  • Plan changes. If the account moves to Free or Pro, each bot serves only its own site again; your choices are kept and come back when you upgrade. Sites without a bot of their own get no Telegram messages until then.
  • Agency clients. The shared bot is for the sites of one account. Client accounts under an agency each have their own bot, so a client never sees another client’s sites.
  • Emergency stop on one site stops only that site; the bot keeps working for the others and tells you when you choose the stopped one.
  • Disconnecting the bot’s own site also removes its bot, and with it the shared bot. Choose another shared bot first if you want to keep working from Telegram.

If something does not work#
