Page builders
PressHelm builds and edits pages in Elementor, Beaver Builder and the block editor through each builder’s own save routine, so pages open normally in the builder afterwards.
Supported builders#
| Builder | What PressHelm does |
|---|---|
| Block editor (Gutenberg) | Create and edit blocks, patterns and layouts; change one block at a time. |
| Elementor | Read the layout, change widgets and sections, add new ones, through Elementor’s own data format. |
| Beaver Builder | Read and change layouts and modules through Beaver Builder’s own data. |
Before changing a builder page, PressHelm reads its structure and the builder’s rules, so it edits the right widget instead of rewriting the page. Every builder change is saved first and undone byte-exact.

Page-builder pages are protected from plain content edits that would break their layout: PressHelm always goes through the builder.
