Use PressHelm from Claude or ChatGPT
Prefer working in Claude or ChatGPT? Add PressHelm as a connector and use your site from there, on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, with the same approvals and the same undo.
Connector address#
Both apps connect to PressHelm through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The address is:
https://app.presshelmai.com/mcp/app
Claude#
Add a custom connector#
In Claude (web, desktop or phone) open Settings → Connectors and add a custom connector with the address above. In Claude Code, add it as a remote MCP server.
Sign in to your PressHelm account and pick the site.
Allow it in WordPress#
Your WordPress admin asks “Allow Claude to manage this site?”. Approve only if you just started this yourself.
ChatGPT#
Add PressHelm as an app / custom connector (MCP server) with the same address, sign in, and allow it in your WordPress admin. The available menus depend on your ChatGPT plan.
How approvals work there#
In Claude and ChatGPT, changes that need your approval come back to your WordPress admin: the assistant shows you a link, you open it and approve or deny there. That way the AI can never approve its own change.

Who pays for the AI?#
In Claude and ChatGPT, the thinking is done by your Claude or ChatGPT plan; your own AI key is not used for chatting. Image generation still uses your own Gemini, OpenAI or OpenRouter key.
Disconnecting an app#
PressHelm → Connections → Claude & ChatGPT apps lists connected apps; disconnect one and it can no longer reach your site.
