Install the plugin

The free PressHelm Vibe AI plugin is the part that lives on your site. It runs each action, saves what it changes, checks the site and enforces your rules.

Install#

  1. Add the plugin#

In WordPress: Plugins → Add New Plugin. Search for PressHelm Vibe AI and click Install Now. If you have the ZIP file, use Upload Plugin instead.

  2. Activate it#

Click Activate. You are taken to the PressHelm setup. You can always come back to it from the PressHelm item in the admin menu.

  3. Follow the setup#

Three short steps: AI & model, Telegram bot, and Connect to PressHelm Cloud.

Requirements#

ItemNeeded
WordPress6.9 or newer
PHP7.4 or newer
HostingAny: shared, managed or your own server. No SSH, shell or server changes.
Your roleAdministrator (PressHelm acts with the WordPress rights of the admin who connected it)
Outgoing connectionsYour site must be able to reach app.presshelmai.com over HTTPS (almost every host allows this).

What the plugin does (and does not)#

  • It polls PressHelm Cloud for signed commands. No inbound port is opened on your server.
  • It verifies every command’s signature and your local rules before running it.
  • It saves the before-state of anything it changes (content, settings, files, database rows, images) so it can be undone.
  • It checks the site after each change and rolls back automatically if the site breaks.
  • It never runs code it was sent with eval, never opens a shell, and keeps no AI keys: those live in your encrypted vault in PressHelm Cloud.
Pro add-on

There is also an optional add-on, PressHelm Vibe AI Pro (coming soon) for agencies and developers: installing plugins and themes from ZIP files and links, and editing the files of any theme or plugin, with the same backups and undo.
