Docs › What it can do
Code & snippets
When a change needs code, PressHelm is careful: CSS and front-end snippets with approval, PHP that stays switched off until you turn it on, and new plugins written inactive.
Additional CSS#
Add or replace the theme’s Additional CSS, with approval and undo.
Snippets (WPCode)#
With the free WPCode plugin, PressHelm adds CSS, JavaScript and HTML snippets (for example a tracking tag in the header) with approval. PHP snippets are saved switched off: you review and enable them yourself in WPCode. Undo restores a snippet exactly.
Small custom plugins#
For a custom feature, PressHelm can write a small plugin for your site. It is always created inactive, so nothing runs until you activate it.

PressHelm never runs code with eval, never opens a shell on your server, and checks the site after every code change.
