Email health

Emails from your site not arriving, or landing in spam? PressHelm checks how your site sends mail and your domain’s setup, sends a test, reads the mail log, and tells you exactly what to fix.

The check#

  • How mail is sent: which SMTP plugin, mailer, mail server and sender address (never passwords or API keys).
  • Sender domain: whether mail comes from your site’s own domain.
  • DNS: your domain’s SPF, DMARC and MX records.
  • Recent failures: sending errors PressHelm noticed.
  • To fix: a plain list, for example “mail goes out through the server’s mail() function and often lands in spam: install an SMTP plugin”, or “no DMARC record”.
Your Telegram bot
People say our contact form emails never arrive.
Found two problems: 1) mail is sent by the server itself, not through a mail service, so Gmail treats it as suspicious; 2) your domain has no DMARC record. Fix: install FluentSMTP and connect your mail service (you enter its password there), and add a DMARC record. Want me to send a test email to you first so we can compare after?

Test email#

PressHelm sends a short test email through your site’s normal setup, only to the site’s admin email or another administrator. It reports the mailer used and the exact error if it fails. “Sent” means WordPress handed it over; check your inbox and spam folder for delivery.

Mail log#

Recent emails from the log of FluentSMTP, WP Mail SMTP Pro or Post SMTP (with logging on), with status and error, and recipients masked like j***@example.com.

Your mail password stays with you

PressHelm never asks for or types SMTP passwords or API keys. You enter those in your SMTP plugin yourself; PressHelm tells you exactly what to set.
