Media library

Find any file, see where it is used, swap a file everywhere it appears, delete safely, and put images into your pages with a check that they really show.

Upload#

Send a photo or file in Telegram, give a public link, or let PressHelm make an image. It lands in your media library with alt text.

Find and see where it is used#

Search by name, type (image, video, audio, document) or “not attached”. For any item PressHelm shows where it is used: in page content, as a featured image, in a WooCommerce product gallery, in Elementor layouts, or as the site logo or icon.

Replace a file everywhere#

Put a new file in place of an old one. The media item keeps its id and address, so every page that shows it shows the new file; sizes are regenerated. The new file must be the same type (a JPEG for a JPEG). Undo puts the old file back.

Delete safely#

WordPress media has no trash, so PressHelm is careful: deleting is refused while the file is still used somewhere, unless you say to go ahead. The files and details are backed up first, and undo brings the item back with the same id and address.

Put images into pages#

  • Featured image of a post, page or product.
  • New image block at the start, the end, or after a given block, with alt text, caption, size and alignment.
  • Swap one image for another everywhere in a post, keeping each spot’s size.

Afterwards PressHelm checks the image really shows: it is in the rendered page and the image file loads. If not, the change is undone automatically. For published pages it also looks at the live page.
