Docs › Getting started

Quick start

From nothing to your first finished task in about five minutes. No code, no SSH, any host.

What you need#

  • A WordPress site (WordPress 6.9 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer) where you are an administrator. Shared hosting is fine.
  • An AI account: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, or any OpenAI-compatible service. You pay your provider directly; PressHelm adds no markup.
  • Telegram on your phone or computer (for the Telegram bot). You can also work from Claude or ChatGPT.

Five steps#

  1. Install the plugin#

In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for PressHelm Vibe AI, install and activate it (or upload the ZIP file). The setup opens by itself. Details

  2. Connect your AI#

Pick your provider, paste an API key (or sign in with OpenRouter), choose a model and test it. Details

  3. Create your Telegram bot#

In Telegram, ask @BotFather for a new bot (one minute) and paste its token. It is your own bot, with your own name and picture. Details

  4. Connect to PressHelm Cloud#

Create your free account (or sign in), approve this site, and come straight back. Your AI key and bot token move into your encrypted vault and are removed from WordPress. Details

  5. Say hello#

Open your bot, press Start, approve your Telegram account in WordPress, and send your first message.

Your first message#

Start with something that only reads, so you can see how PressHelm works before anything changes:

Try saying (tap to copy)

Then try a small, safe change. You will get your first approval card:

Your Telegram bot
Change the tagline to “Handmade candles from Lisbon”.
Approval needed: mysite.com
Change site settings:
• blogdescription → "Handmade candles from Lisbon"
  • Target: the site
  • Recovery: one undo puts it back
ApproveDeny
✅ Approved
Done. The new tagline is live.
✓ Setting changed
✓ Site checked: OK
Undo: settings
You cannot really break things

Every change is saved before it runs and the site is checked afterwards. If something breaks, PressHelm undoes it on its own and tells you why. So go ahead and experiment.

Still stuck? Ask PressHelm itself in your chat, it knows this manual's tools, or write to hello@presshelmai.com. Last updated 2026-10-18.
